Book the call
The process question

You can build it yourself. It's still on the bench.

Learning it is genuinely worth something, and we won't talk you out of it. We're here to show you it was never a choice between the two.

A half-assembled metal machine on a dark garage workbench under a work lamp, loose screws and an instruction sheet scattered around a cold mug of coffee.
Every owner who chose this route has one of these somewhere. The parts are all there. So is the evening it ate.
We build it — and you still learn it
You learn it and build it
What you learn
We build it — and you still learn it You get a coach in the process.
  • A weekly group call and an account manager at every maintenance level.
  • You watch your own machine go together and ask questions while it happens.
  • This is the part people assume they're giving up. They're not.
You learn it and build it Everything, permanently, and nobody can take it back.
  • A real asset. We won't pretend otherwise.
Cash out of pocket
We build it — and you still learn it Our number goes on the screen on the call.
  • In the first few minutes, once we've scoped what you need.
  • Real ad spend sits inside the plan fee at the Performance and Partner levels.
You learn it and build it Cheaper. Plainly, genuinely cheaper.
  • Tools, hosting and ad budget — that's the whole bill.
  • You pay the labor in evenings instead of dollars.
  • Whether that's a bargain is the whole question below.
Hours out
We build it — and you still learn it
  • The scoping call.
  • The weekly call.
  • The reviews where you say yes or no.
You learn it and build it Yours — and we won't invent a figure for them.
  • We don't know your learning curve or how much you've already done.
  • Price your own hour in the calculator below. It's the one place on this site where the arithmetic is yours, not ours.
First version quality
We build it — and you still learn it
  • It isn't our first one.
  • You skip the mistakes we already made on somebody else's build.
You learn it and build it Your first funnel is a learning funnel.
  • True for everyone, us included.
  • The learning is the point, so this isn't purely a cost.
When it breaks
We build it — and you still learn it
  • We fix it.
  • You find out why on the weekly call.
You learn it and build it
  • You fix it.
  • Usually on the evening you had other plans.
Who owns it
We build it — and you still learn it You do.
  • Full IP assigned on final payment — source code included.
You learn it and build it You do.
  • This row is a tie, and anyone who tells you different is selling.
When it's running
We build it — and you still learn it
  • Some builds start the same day as the call.
  • Weeks, not quarters.
You learn it and build it
  • As fast as your calendar allows.
  • For most owners that means evenings and the occasional Sunday.
The only numbers on this page are yours

We won't tell you what your hour is worth.

Only you know that. Put in what an hour of your time is worth and how many hours you think this would take, and the page does the arithmetic. Nothing is stored and nothing is sent.

No default is right. Use your own billable rate, or what you'd pay someone to take an hour off your hands.
Learning the tools, wiring the automations, writing the follow-ups, building the pages, then debugging all of it. Your guess, not ours.
What those hours cost you

What the same hours bill at on the open market

Put a number in both boxes and the page will do the arithmetic. We are not filling them in for you — that number is yours to set.

The market column uses published freelance rates for this exact work. It's what the job bills at elsewhere — not a claim about what your time is worth.

A plumber's hourly rate — and the plumber leaves when the job is done. That's what freelance marketing-automation work bills at on the open market. The comparison column above uses that published range, and nothing else.

What this work bills at hourly — Upwork marketing-automation consultant rates and goLance 2026 rate guide. Ranges, not quotes.
The honest part

Sometimes you should build it yourself.

There's a version of this where doing it yourself is plainly right. If that's you, we'd rather say so before you pay us than after.

Build it yourself
  • You have more time than money right now. That's a stage, not a weakness — and at that stage the honest answer is to build it.
  • You want the skill permanently and you'd genuinely enjoy the building.
  • Your offer isn't validated yet. Never automate something you haven't sold by hand — you'd be scaling a guess, and the machine would just make the guess louder.
  • The calculator put your hours below what the market charges for the same work. Believe your own arithmetic. That's what it's there for.
Let us build it
  • The hours would come out of selling, delivering, or your family — the three places owners actually take them from.
  • You want it running this quarter, not next year.
  • You still want to learn it. The weekly group call and an account manager come with every maintenance level, so you do.
  • There's already a half-finished attempt on your bench. Maybe two.

This is the part we care about most: it isn't learn it versus buy it. The build and the coaching come in the same fee, at every level. Paying us does not mean staying a stranger to your own machine.

You've got your number. Here's ours.

We'll put it on the screen next to yours.

Half an hour, and it comes up in the first few minutes rather than at the end of a pitch. It isn't printed here because it comes out of scoping your actual build. Bring what the calculator gave you and what you've already tried, and we'll tell you straight whether to hire us or go finish it yourself.
